Data You Give Us Directly
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the outside provider that supplies that result function. Cicero Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those search queries on its own servers. If a visitor contacts us, the message and contact details provided are used only to respond or address the request.
Data We Gather Automatically
Hosting systems may create routine logs such as an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamp. These records are reviewed in aggregate for security, maintenance, and general traffic measurement. Cookies or comparable technology may support basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
What We Do With This Data
Limited technical data is used to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service, and to understand aggregate use. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles from public-record links or reference-page visits.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Town of Cicero, Onondaga County, New York State, court, library, archive, and outside search services. Each destination controls the information submitted there under its own terms and privacy practices. Sponsored results are also supplied by an outside provider and are governed by that provider’s policies.
Who Might See Your Data
Hosting and support vendors may process technical logs for the service. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. Information is disclosed when required by valid legal process or otherwise permitted by law.
How We Protect Your Data
The service uses an encrypted connection, and routine logs are retained only for the operational purposes described here. There are no user accounts, passwords, or personal profiles maintained by Cicero Residents Directory for an attacker to access through this service.
Users Under 18
This service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If you believe a minor has sent information to us, contact us so that it can be removed from our contact records.
Your Data Rights
Depending on location and circumstances, a visitor may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information held in the contact mailbox or routine service records. The research did not identify a broad New York consumer-comprehensive privacy statute that supplies a universal deletion right for every public-record reference, so this policy retains those general rights without claiming one. Use the Contact page to make a request. Records held by a Town of Cicero, Onondaga County, New York State, court, or library custodian are outside our control. New York FOIL is Public Officers Law Article 6, §§84–90, but it does not override specific vital, court, election, ACP, or DMV restrictions.
Updates to This Policy
Material changes to this policy will appear here. Continued use after a revision means the updated policy applies to future use of the service.
